OCC 20 mph consultation – Sandford St Martin and Ledwell – comment by 20th October

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the order – in support of road safety issues – is to introduce a 20mph speed limit within Sandford St Martin replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety, leading out to the following points:

  1. Manor Road – a point 43 metres northwest of its junction with Laundry Lane,
  2. Mill Lane – a point 75 metres southwest of the River Dorn Bridge,
  3. Ledwell Road – a point 136 metres north of its junction with Pound Bank.

Additionally, a new 30mph speed limit ‘buffer’ will also be introduced on Ledwell Road, extending northwards from the proposed 20mph speed limit for 450 metres.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Sandford St Martin Parish) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.
